Facing West/Kaaba?

Why do muslims need to face West or Kaaba when praying? They are not praying to Prophet Muhammad are they? So if they are praying to God, well he is everywhere isn't he?

Unity everyone around the globe facing the first house on earth built fro the worship of God alone.

Is this kind of unification working? Are all Muslims united just because they pray in the same direction, (which also changes based on where they are on the planet)?

thats the wisdom behind it, bottom line if you don't believe that God is One you are blaspheming. Christianity or should I say Paulianity is an easy way for the devil to get you to disobey God by making you think you are obeying him. How can God send someone to hell if hes never heard of Jesus just because he doesn't believe in Jesus?

Your comments don't talk about facing Kaaba. When you can't explain it, it becomes "the wisdom behind it". Christianity forbids that we have any idols, even though we believe in Abraham as our forefather we will not pray to "first house that was built" as to us it's blasphemy.

As for your question regarding the God sending someone to hell for not believing in Jesus. I don't claim this, Bible does. Tell me how would the God of Islam treat people who have never heard of him or Muhammad? What if they are really good people and do good deeds but still have no clue about Allah or Muhammad, what will happen to them then?
